Guacamole Recipe

This homemade Guacamole recipe has to be one of the most more-ish foods around! It’s so great for sharing with friends and family and will be a guaranteed crowd pleaser – just plonk it down in the middle of the table and watch it disappear!

My favourite way to serve this is simply with some tortilla chips or in some mexican taco’s or fajitas. If you’re feeling adventurous, try some in your burger for a really tasty accompaniment and spicy kick!

This Guacamole recipe is really simple, using just 7 main ingredients and is ready from scratch in 10-15 minutes.

Guacamole Recipe:

Just mix all the below ingredients into a bowl and serve.

2x ripe avocado’s – chopped into roughly 0.5 inch or 1cm cubes.

1/2 red onion – finely chopped.

1/2 large red chilli (roasted, skinned and chopped – see below instructions).

1x large green chilli (roasted, skinned and chopped – see below instructions).

1x clove garlic (roasted, skinned and chopped – see below instructions).

2x vine tomatoes – deseeded and finely chopped.

1x handful fresh coriander – finely chopped.

1/2 of a fresh lime juice.

Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

1/2 teaspoon sea salt and ground black pepper or season to preference.

For the roasted chillies and garlic in the Guacamole:

Put the red chilli, green chilli and garlic into a pre heated oven on a baking tray at 200°C or 180° for fan oven. Roast for 10 minutes until soft on the inside then remove to cool. Once cooled remove the skin and finely chop the flesh then add to the rest of the Guacamole mix as above.

Enjoy!
