Make this amazing spinach, artichoke and cheese dip recipe in less than 15 minutes. When you’ve got a few people over, here’s a guaranteed way to get everyone’s appetite going.
This warm dip of spinach, artichoke, cheddar and cream cheese is so moreish, you’d better make a bog bowl as it will be gone in no time!
I can’t post this recipe without giving recognition to my brother-in-law, Tony Perez, who has served his famous spinach dip at many parties over the years and from whom this dish takes inspiration.
It’s really easy. Preparation time less than 5 minutes and cooking time 10 minutes. Should serve up to 6 people.
Spinach, Artichoke and Cheese Dip Recipe – what you need:
Large bag of baby leaf spinach – approx 200g-250g – roughly chopped.
Cooked artichokes – approx 150g-200g – roughly chopped. You can buy these already cooked from various supermarkets.
Cream cheese – 2 tablespoons.
Cheddar cheese – approx 100g or to your liking – grated. The cheesier the better in my opinion!
Knob of butter.
Sea salt and black pepper.
Medium saucepan.
Spinach, Artichoke and Cheese Dip Recipe – what you need to do:
1. Add the butter, spinach and artichokes to the saucepan and season with a pinch of salt and pepper over a low-medium heat.
2. Add the cream cheese and cheddar cheese, stir thoroughly and cook over gentle heat for 10 minutes until the spinach and artichokes have softened and the dip is not too runny.
3. Serve warm with tortilla chips and dig in!
